Community Spirit
Our community spirit isn't restricted to one single event but is exhibited throughout the year at many events and activities. Residents of the town and those from the surrounding area eagerly anticipate these occasions participating in a number of ways, from attending to volunteering. Some of the annual events that are organized by the Town and a lot of dedicated volunteers and partners are highlighted below.

Community Spirit Night
This bi-annual spring event organized by the Indian Head Community Development Committee and numerous volunteers brings together more than 60 clubs, organizations, churches and businesses that exhibit and provide information to the community in a trade show environment. The event also includes a variety of entertainment, music, a petting zoo, children's activities, free burgers, hot dogs, drinks, coffee and cake. Community Spirit Night is a great opportunity to meet members of the Town Council, mingle with neighbours and learn first hand what the community has to offer residents.
Celebrate Indian Head Days - Parade Day
The annual parade day usually begins with the Indian Head Volunteer Fire Department's annual pancake breakfast. Breakfast sets the tone for a day of festivities fueled by a healthy amount of community spirit. The parade starts soon after breakfast and consists of many local and provincial participants, including musical and drum bands, horse entries, floats, and various dignitaries. Festivities continue in downtown Indian Head, where local volunteers, community groups and businesses all pitch in to create a carnival-like atmosphere with fun activities for the entire family. The day culminates with a barn dance at the Historic Bell Barn.
Winter Festival
The Indian Head Winter Festival is an annual event that celebrates the winter season in the community. Activities during the festival vary and have included ice/snow sculpture challenges, ice-skating parties, sleigh rides and toboggan hill fun.
Town Clean Up Day
Indian Head residents set aside a day each year for an organized litter patrol. Planned and lead by our Communities In Bloom Committee, it is a great way for people to get together and improve our surroundings at the same time. Clean Up day helps to get rid of unsightly litter at the same time as being a fun day and a great way to exercise.
