Trans Canada Trail Drifters - Have Trail Will Travel
The Trans Canada Trail Drifters is one of Saskatchewan's newest snowmobile clubs. A group of interested snowmobilers from Indian Head, Sintaluta, Wolseley, Qu'Appelle, Mclean and Grenfell met on November 15th, 2011 at the Nite Hawk Theatre in Indian Head to explore the potential of forming a club. The response was overwhelming with over 75 people attending. The club was constituted and events have unfolded very quickly. The Club lobbied the Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association to realize the next big step in becoming a bona fide club and that is the allocation of trail kilometres. On December 11th the Club announced they were successful in receiving trail kilometres from Indian Head through Sintaluta, Wolseley and onto Grenfell.
The Club has also been active in a number of other areas including the development of a groomer and drag, courtesy of Vale Solutions. A Snowmobile Safety Course has been scheduled for January 15th, 2012. All snowmobile operators born on or after January 1, 1989 are required to take the course in order to operate a snowmobile on public land.
