Taxes, Rates & Fees
Town Council sets the mill rate during its annual budget deliberations. Residential property owners pay municipal property taxes based on 70% of the assessed value of their property. To determine you municipal property taxes, multiply 70% of the assessed value of your property by the mill rate. Please note that in addition to municipal property taxes, property owners will also pay school taxes.
Tax statements are sent to property owners in June, and taxes are due by December 31st of each year. A 5% discount on the municipal portion is available to residents who pay their taxes by August 31st.
Taxes can be paid by cash, cheque, debit or online. The Town encourages online tax payments. Call the Town Office at (306) 695-3344 for more information, or to set up a payment plan.
